Emmanuel Lamur - Florida Ambassador
Emmanuel Lamur is of Haitian descent and was born in Boynton Beach, Florida, and raised in Delray Beach, Florida. He grew up with an older brother (John Lamur), older sister (Rose Lamur), and his identical twin brother (Sammuel Lamur). Since he was a little child, Emmanuel knew that he had a purpose in life and that God had a special plan for him. Emannuel stayed focused in school and practice, and had tunnel vision for his goal of playing in the NFL.
When he made it on to the Cincinnati Bengals in 2012, Emmanuel felt grateful that his dream had come true. However, even after being an official an NFL player, Emmanuel knew there were more things that he needed to do.
Since his time in youth, Emmanuel wanted to help others. Emmanuel believes that God gave him this opportunity to give back to unprivileged kids and encourage them to fight for their dreams now.
This is why he started The Lamur Charity
Growing up as a kid, I always wanted to help people. We didn’t have the nicest things where we grew up and didn’t have much money to spend on anything other than what we needed. However, God has allowed me to use my status now to provide the resources for these kids and to encourage them to keep going. I am blessed to be able to give back because that’s what I’ve always wanted to do.
The charity is geared towards encouraging inner city kids and giving back to the community. We want to empower these kids by giving them the things that their families may not be able to afford. I grew up with very little fighting to make my dream become a reality. Now it’s their turn. I want to bring hope to these kids to let them know that their dreams CAN come true. This gives them an opportunity to focus on something positive, rather than being in the streets where anything can happen.
Emmanuel was our first Ambassador of BlackChain. He is known for mainly for his career in the NFL but has proven to be much more than an athlete. He is driven with the purpose of teaching Financial Literacy, Real Estate, and just about anything that has to do with giving back to the community.
